In Memory of Kuya Xyrus

Hello all,

On August 23rd, my cousin Xyrus Etrata suffered a hemorrhagic stroke at age 44. He is currently in the ICU in the Philippines and is only responding to pain commands and is still unable to respond verbally. Unfortunately, with how healthcare is in the Philippines, Xyrus is unable to move forward with any kind of service or treatment unless it is paid upfront. With how insurance works in the Philippines, there is a maximum allotment of $1000 USD that can be used to cover medical costs before out of pocket payments must be made. If out of pocket payments cannot be provided, Xyrus will be unable to move forward with any kind of treatment and will be removed from the hospital regardless of his current medical condition.

We are currently covering payments as best as we can while we receive the hospital bills, but he will be requiring a craniotomy to reduce the swelling in his brain. If you are able to help financially in any way, we will be forever grateful. I will be transferring your generous contributions directly to his sister, Xyra Etrata, who is his power of attorney. The money donated will help the out-of-pocket hospital charges and hopefully give us the care that Xyrus deserves and needs.
