2/2025-3/2025 Update:
Toby beat fatty liver disease which is why I made this gofundme in the first place. I want to thank you all for helping me support Toby during this time. I owe everything to y'all.

3/17/2025 Update: My courageous baby Toby is facing another challenge, and I have faith that he’ll come out stronger. It’s not 100% clear at this time what the issue is, but it’s between pneumonia and cancer. A mass was found right next to his heart, and I’m staying positive that it’s treatable. If the mass is my worst fear, it’s cancer, and Toby’s time is limited, but I’m choosing to focus on the possibility that it’s pneumonia, which can be overcome with iv fluids, steroids, and antibiotics. We won’t have a definite answer until probably tomorrow morning(3/18), but I’m trusting that Toby will pull through. Toby is staying overnight at Rose City Animal Clinic, and I could use any help covering his hospital stay. And if you pray, please keep my baby in your thoughts, pray that he’s okay, and that he’ll be back home soon.

My cat Toby (my baby boy) was diagnosed with diabetes in February of 2022. I check his blood sugar multiple times a day and administer insulin two times a day. With being diagnosed with diabetes, he has also developed fatty liver disease, which can be reversed with a high-calorie diet. In the past six months, he has had a liver biopsy that I'm still paying off, multiple vet visits, and very expensive prescription food. I would do anything for this boy, which I have and will continue to do so, but I am in need of some financial help to make up for what I just don't have. Three weeks ago, I started syringe feeding him because he is uninterested in his prescription food. His liver enzymes (ALT) are in the 800s right now and normal is between 12-130. They have gone from 400 to over 1000 then way down to 300s.

My vet and I have been trying every single thing we can come up with to get his ALT in the safe zone but it just won't budge.

My vet and I agree that Toby needs a specialist. He is in great health minus the fatty liver disease and I do manage his diabetes quite well. He might also need hospitalization for a short period of time to get fed through a tube. I'm scared that if hospitalization is needed, I won't be able to because I can't afford it. Specialists are also very expensive.

Toby is my world. Any help with bringing his quality of life back to him is greatly appreciated from me and from him.
