Treatment to Save Sweet Pit Bull's Life

My husband and I found a blue grey male pit bull with white markings between his eyes, chest, and paws. He was found off of Mallet Road/Diane Drive in D'Iberville/Jackson County, laying in the pouring rain. Must show proof he is yours.

Edit 10pm 5/28: Took him to Gulf Coast Veterinary Hospital on Oaklawn. He is not chipped, and he is dinged up more than we thought. His left back leg is injured. He looks to be well-fed, nails trimmed, and has a collar but no tag. Whose baby?

Edit 12am 5/29: He has broken ribs, a severely bruised right lung, and a completely collapsed left lung…he will require extensive treatment such as steroids, oxygen therapy, chest tubes, etc.

Edit 9am 5/29: He stayed overnight at the ER vet in Woolmarket and was monitored. My husband called this morning, and they told him he is doing a lot better—even breathing better. He was given steroids and pain meds. Trying to figure out a game plan—we cannot keep him as we have 3 dogs and a cat already plus 2 littles. If anyone knows any pit rescues, please tag them! I would love for him to be reunited with his owner. He has a sweet mannerism, but he is also very scared.
