I don’t post very often, but I am reaching out to seek some support to aid my sister who has type 1 diabetes, with her treatment for her recently diagnosed advanced diabetic retinopathy. This is an eye condition that can cause blindness in people who have diabetes; it affects blood vessels in the retina. She does not have great health insurance and struggles to pay for medication needed to survive on a day to day basis, and is now faced with a $600 monthly payment for her eye injections and dilation check needed to prevent blindness. I am seeking assistance in helping aid to cover her medical costs for the remainder of the year ad we are looking for options into a better plan next year to help reduce the costs.
