Sergio has been the light of my life since we first brought him home in February. He’s always ready to play, meet new friends, and snuggles with me every night.
Sometime on Sunday, Sergio threw up a sock. After monitoring him and noticing that he was still vomiting, we rushed him to urgent care. There, they did x-rays of his abdomen and determined that there was still another sock in his digestive tract. He was loaded up with fluids and vitamins to try to get everything moving along. Another visit to the ER last night showed that the blockage was moving, and things were looking promising. However, after a long night of frequent walks and keeping a close eye on my boy, he seems to be unable to pass the blockage himself. So we are once again at the ER, and the doctors have determined that he needs surgery immediately to remove the blockage.
The costs of all his labs have quickly added up, and I am afraid that I will not be able to afford his surgery without some help from my community. If you could find it in your heart to give Sergio a small donation so that he can move forward with surgery and be on the track to good health once again, we would be forever grateful. I just want my baby to get the care he needs.
UPDATE: Sergio’s surgery to remove the bowel obstruction was successful, and he is on the road to recovery. THANK YOU to everyone who was able to lend a helping paw by donating. We’re hoping Sergio will be back to his playful, curious self in no time!
