Hi Friends,

After weathering what was a difficult 2024, I find myself in a position that I am unlikely to recover from without your help. So, as difficult as it is for me, I must ask for your help.

In 2024, upon discovering a leak caused by a failed bathroom fixture, I also discovered extensive black mold, which forced me to gut my entire master bathroom. My insurance company denied both my claim and my appeal. Undaunted, I did what had to be done. I gutted and remodeled my bathroom by myself. Although I finished and was happy with the end result, it proved to be financially devastating. Somehow, I was able to avoid foreclosure and, although it was a difficult experience, I thought the worst was behind me and I was ready to start fresh in 2025.

In December of '24, I became incredibly ill out of the blue. Confined to bed for three weeks, I couldn't work or even leave the house. In January, I became ill again, thankfully only losing two weeks of work. Fast forward to the first week in March. I came home from work and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I've been in bed all month except for three emergency room visits. None of the doctors know what's wrong with me. I was actually afraid I was going to die there for a couple of days. My hunch is that this is a parasitic infection that they can't clear.

This is the last thing I ever thought I would be doing, but the universe has a way of humbling us. I'm back to foreclosure risk and losing my work van, my ability to earn a living will be hampered and I'm afraid of what happens next. Any help you can manage would be greatly appreciated.
