Donate to Save Prue: A Beloved Cat in Need

Hi, my name is Megan and I'm a disabled first responder who cares for outdoor cats. When I moved into my house a little over 7 years ago, three black cats were here and calling it their home. I have a small black cat of my own, indoor only, and care for them with as much love as I can. Two of the kitties have since passed, most recently Piper, who I lost to a horrible case of cancer last year (GoFundMe truly helped me provide the best care for her until the very end). So, now, Prue is the last remaining porch kitty and he is struggling.
Prue went from 100% down to 0% within a night; he hid for an entire day and night last week and, when he did re-appear, he had a mass on his cheek and had no interest in eating, water, or treats. I immediately rushed him to the vet and had them drain his cheek, which was completely filled with blood. The first vet (at Canal Vet) did not provide much help so I sought out the absolutely wonderful vet (Dog Day Afternoon) that helped take care of my Piper throughout her cancer battle and was there at the very end.
Yesterday, during this visit, the vet informed me that Prue had been infected with FIV, complicating the healing of the mass/wound on his cheek. I believe the mass may have been a result of the attack that infected him however, I need more blood work to diagnose. It could be from the attack (a hematoma and scarring underneath), it could be cancer that his body is not fighting due to his now weakened immune system, it is uncertain until further tests are conducted. Prue has been an outside cat his entire life, strictly staying on my property, but thriving outdoors. Now, due to the recent FIV diagnosis, he has to be an inside cat, separated from my other kitty (they both have plenty of room but are separated when I am not there to supervise), to prevent spreading the disease to other kitties. This is a huge adjustment for Prue, myself, and my current indoor kitty.
I was injured twice on duty while advancing my career in crime scene investigation after being a first responder for years and am now unable to work in the field I truly love due to those injuries. The surgery on my right knee failed and has only made my physical condition worse on top of my lupus. I have had to scrape by while working a desk job that does not even cover my basic bills as I am physically limited from doing anything else presently.
I love Prue so much and am dedicated to doing anything I can so that he may live the best life possible. I have attached photographs of the vet fees and am looking to get help covering the upcoming bloodwork (the vet estimated a $350 fee to do in- depth, comprehensive blood work), as well as the initial visits, the exam fees and antibiotics (currently administering a 10 day course), and supplies needed to help him adjust to indoor life. I have also attached photos of the mass on Prue's face. Any little bit helps and I am so appreciative of anyone even taking a look at this page. Thank you again.
