Thank you for taking the time to look into this GoFundMe. This GoFundMe is for Omar, my beloved little man. I got Omar when he was just a couple of months old, after an episode I went through. You could very well say he is an emotional support pup. My entire family would vouch for that. He goes everywhere I go, and I go everywhere he goes. Omar is 4 years old.

On March 29th, he suddenly became extremely lethargic and had a fainting episode. He was rushed to the emergency clinic in Springdale, Arkansas, and was diagnosed with IMHA. At first, due to low funds, euthanasia was looking like the only option. Though when my entire family came to see him, they were more than willing to give everything and anything they could to proceed with treatment. IMHA is an autoimmune disease where one’s white blood cells attack its own red blood cells, leaving the host extremely anemic. There is no cure, BUT it is very much treatable or “manageable.” Remission is very possible. Many dogs who survive the initial deadly stages go on to live many years and even long lives.

Omar is 4 days into hospitalization and 2 blood transfusions in. The chances are on our side of him pulling through the tougher first stages. Though we are running low and soon to be out of funds to keep him hospitalized and monitored. We are keeping Omar stable and waiting for the medications to kick in, and there has been positive progress. This dog means the world to me, and any donations would be greatly appreciated. Any leftover funds would be used to support his medications and biweekly check-ups if he were able to be discharged.
