Hello, my name is Sierra, and this is my first time ever making a gofundme. I never imagined that I would be in a position where I would need to ask for help like this.

I’m 19 years old and have always tried to be hardworking and independent. The cat in the photos is Milo, who I’ve had since I was 15. He’s now about 5 years old and means so much to me.

Some of the photos show how he used to look, and others show how he looks now. Recently, he has become very skinny, his fur has gotten thin, and he struggles with basic things like eating and grooming himself. I bathe him, groom him the best I can, and make sure he has food, but it’s heartbreaking to watch him struggle. He has very little appetite, and eating causes him pain sometimes.

When this first started happening, I took him to the vet, and the visit cost around $200. They diagnosed him with hyperthyroidism. I was around 16 at the time and didn’t have the financial means to get him the treatment he needed. Unfortunately, my family has also been going through financial hardship, so we weren’t able to do much at the time.

I now have a job, but I’m still in a tight financial spot and can’t afford the care Milo needs on my own. It’s incredibly painful to watch him suffer, and I feel so guilty that I haven’t been able to get him proper treatment over the past two years. I’m doing everything I can, but it’s not enough.

I’m hoping to raise some funds so I can take Milo back to the vet and finally get him the treatment he needs and deserves. Any help at all would mean the world to both of us.
