Hi, I'm Charlotte and I am raising money to pay for my son Miko's vet bills. Miko is my 3 year old gray tabby cat. He is my SONshine. He and his sister Cleo are my reason for waking up each day.

This morning I found Miko lethargic, acting strange, and unable to relieve himself when he tried to use the litter box. Thanks to my amazing vet, I was able to take him into their office and the doctor confirmed that Miko has a urinary blockage.

This is not uncommon in male cats especially. To get him back to 100%, they had to sedate him, give him a catheter, and will have to monitor him over the weekend. I can't express the emptiness I felt leaving him at their office and driving home without my baby boy.

In the meantime, I will be racking up a hefty vet bill of $500+ as well as trying to raise some money to pay for his special urinary health diet, which consists of prescription cat food that is around $100 per bag. I know in this day and age it may seem frivolous to spend money on a cat's diet, but as someone who can't have my own human children, this cat is my child.

It may not be a lot to you, but $2,500 is more than I have at the moment, and more than I have ever had to spare at any given time thanks to my own health issues.
