My daughter-in-law, Mary Cecelia, was diagnosed in September with triple-negative metastatic breast cancer. The cancer has metastasized to her bones and liver. She started treatment in October but has run into several obstacles along the way, preventing her from receiving some of her weekly chemotherapy treatments. The cancer is so severe in her liver that it has affected her bilirubin levels, and they are too high to receive treatment. We’ve brought her from South Carolina to Houston, Texas, to MD Anderson Cancer Center. Although the hospital is world-renowned for curing cancer, they can’t treat her because of her bilirubin levels. Without some form of treatment, she would be sent home on hospice. She has a husband and 3 children: 2 sons and a little baby girl.
Her only option is to go with a holistic approach. There is a doctor in Houston who has been treating cancer for 45 years, and people travel from all over the world to receive his treatments. His treatment is a medication that he has developed, and although it’s life-saving, it’s very expensive. He has looked at her case and has agreed to take her as a patient. He only accepts patients he thinks he can help; otherwise, he will turn you away. The treatment is $17,000 a month, and she’ll need 9 months of treatment. She’ll receive the medication through a pump that will give her medication every 4 hours for 23 hours a day. The medication will travel through her entire body and attack every cancer cell. She will also be able to be home with her children during treatment because the medication is sent to her each month. This would provide valuable time with her family. If everyone could please find it in their heart to donate whatever amount you can afford, it could save her life. Please help in any way you can to spare her to her family and raise her babies.
