Help Save Marshall's Life

Marshall was born on the streets to a stray mom in Jacinto City, Texas. He and his siblings were brought into Cypress Lucky Mutt Rescue where Marshall was adopted by Mark and Kim. When Marshall's foster first spoke to them, she felt like everything clicked and that Marshall was their perfect fit. Sadly, one of their pups became sick and passed from cancer abruptly so they postponed adopting a new puppy. A couple of weeks later when Marshall was going to meet another potential adopter, they called to say they decided not to adopt at that time. On the same day, Kim reached out that they were ready to give Macaroni another brother, and they adopted Marshall. Sometimes you just know a pup is meant to be with their family, and Marshall now has the best parents a pup could ask for!

Unfortunately, Marshall ate piece of a toy that led to an obstruction. Last weekend, he was rushed to the emergency vet where they scoped him and said he was fine while they tube fed him and gave Cerenia because he was lethargic and refusing food. They sent Marshall home with no answers, costing over $8000. Marshall vomited again after his release and was taken to his regular vet Monday morning where he had exploratory surgery confirming obstruction. Marshall seemed great on his road to recovery until he vomited at 3am this morning and was rushed to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. Marshall was leaking from an internal stitch and had blood and pus in his abdomen. They were told he could have surgery for 17k to 23k or to put him down. Not fighting for Marshal was not an option! Mark and Kim applied for increased credit limits on their credit cards and applied for more credit just to cover his surgery. After the surgery, Marshall will have to stay in ICU for 2 to 5 days before going home. Mark is trying to sell his boat and anything they can to help their baby boy.
