Help Luna beat FIP
Donation protected
I adopted my kitty, Luna, back in March of 2023. Recently, I noticed that she’s been acting differently and her eye color changed. I took her to the vet, and after many tests, we found that she has a rare virus called Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP).
FIP is a mutated form of feline coronavirus that until recently was a fatal diagnosis for a cat. Untreated, she would have days, weeks, or possibly months to live.
Fortunately, as of June 1, 2024, there is treatment available. The medication is GS-441524 and is tablets that she needs daily for the next 84 days. She started tablets on July 1st, but we still have a long road ahead of us.
Luna presented with the ocular form of FIP and while being boarded at her vet's office while I was away for a wedding, she developed a melting corneal ulcer. She is on multiple medications to try to save the eye. She has a referral to an ophthalmologist to see what our chance of saving the eye is.
I love Luna and will make this work. However, if you are willing to donate $5 or $10 that would be helpful and we would be eternally grateful!
