Hi, my name is Ryann and my dad, Jacob Hall, took his own life when I was 9. He was my best friend, and life has not and will never be the same. I miss him every day and think about all the things he has and will continue to miss. He took a piece of me that day, and I am only one of the many lives affected by suicide each and every day.
My dad was my favorite person; he was fun, happy, and a comedian. There was no way to tell that this was a path he was secretly taking. The truth is, every 11 minutes, someone takes their own life, and for every one, there are many affected. I am raising money every year because I can't understand fully, and all I can do is make his life mean something!
The reality is, all of us will be affected by suicide at some point in our lives, and maybe, just maybe, this was God's plan, and together we can spread awareness and reach someone struggling. I am asking anyone who has been affected or has been touched by my story to help me raise money for suicide prevention because even if we can save one, that is one less statistic!
