Friends, family, and kind strangers, we are in desperate need of your help for our sweet boy, Lilo. If you don't know, Lilo is our 7 year old cat that we rescued when he was a kitten.

Lilo swallowed a string a few days ago, and it quickly turned into an absolute nightmare. The string got bunched up in his intestines, causing a severe obstruction and critical pancreatitis.
Yesterday, he had emergency surgery. The damage was heartbreaking: the tension from the string had perforated his intestines in 30 separate places. The surgeons did an incredible job repairing everything, and we've rushed him to a 24/7 critical care hospital.

Lilo is now in the most dangerous phase of his recovery.

The vet said the next 3 to 7 days are the most critical—this is when the sutures are most likely to fail, leading to catastrophic sepsis. Right now, he has a fever and hasn't eaten in days, but he is drinking water, and there are no immediate signs of infection, which is giving us a little hope.
To survive this, he must stay in the hospital for constant, critical monitoring throughout that entire high-risk window.

We've already spent over $10,000—nealry half of our savings—on his surgery and care so far. Honestly, we can't afford to keep him in the hospital for the full 7 days he needs without facing a serious financial disaster.

We are terrified and exhausted, but we are fighting for him. If Lilo doesn't stay, we lose the chance to save him if something goes wrong.

If you have the means, please consider donating to Lilo's GoFundMe to help cover the cost of his critical hospital stay. Every dollar directly buys him more time and expert care during this terrifying waiting period. If you can't donate, a simple share of this post would mean the world to us.

We just want to bring our boy home safe. Thank you for reading and keeping Lilo in your thoughts.

Lilo Update: Home and Eating!

We have huge news—Lilo is home! We brought him back from the 24/7 hospital last night, and while his recovery is minute-by-minute, we're seeing incredible progress after his emergency surgery.

The biggest victory: After days of not eating, Lilo just ate his kibble! This is a monumental step for his healing. Plus, over the last 24 hours, his system has been clearing out debris, including plastic and even a light blue string, which means his repaired intestines are functioning!

He still has a low-grade fever and needs careful monitoring, but every small sign of improvement gives us so much hope.

Thank you all for the donations—they are going straight to paying off his life-saving hospital bills so we can focus entirely on getting him healthy. Please keep sending him good vibes!
