This is Lana, she’s a 6-week-old Marino lamb, her mother died, and I lovingly took her in. I quickly realised she has a lot of trouble going to the toilet. After closer inspection I saw she has a deformity after lots of research I found that she has a condition called ‘Atresia ani with a rectovaginal fistula’ meaning her rectum did not form properly.
I will be doing constant updates throughout her entire journey and hopefully we can all watch her grow up. Any information to do with her case will be greatly appreciated as it is very rare.
I am trying to rase money for her to get her a life changing surgery.
Without surgery, she has a high chance of suffering from chronic infections, blockages, or sepsis. She’s in chronic pain every day but otherwise such a healthy, beautiful, bright lamb.
Any donations are greatly appreciated urgently as she is in more visible pain every day and the known cases of this deformity don’t normally live very long, however the surgery has a very high success rate
Every dollar raised will go directly to:
Surgical repair to create a functioning anus.
Post-op care, including pain relief and antibiotics.
