Let's help Kicking Bird get the treatment and life he deserves! Hello everyone, on the evening of 09/04, one of my wonderful coworkers found this boy on the highway. Scared, skin and bones, and with a horrid neck wound from an embedded collar. My clinic worked quickly and tirelessly until almost 11 at night doing surgery to remove said collar and help start the healing process on this sweet, wonderful boy. Even with the giant wound and everything he has been through, he is the kindest and sweetest soul around, literally thanking everyone in his own way. We ran bloodwork on him along with a heartworm test and found out he is unfortunately heartworm positive. So, between the wound on his neck and having heartworm disease, he is going to have a long road to recovery, but this boy deserves every chance he can get and to find a home that will cherish him forever like my clinic already is. I am trying to get donations to help cover the costs of heartworm treatment and some of his other care. My boss has graciously allowed us to start and do whatever it takes to get him better, but it is going to be a long and expensive journey. Even if you only share this, it would be absolutely appreciated. He has only known pain and survival for what could have been a long time, so let's get him to what he deserves, and that is love and health.
