Donate to Save Iris: Emergency Veterinary Help

Donation protected
UPDATE: She has a splenic torsion that requires surgery as part of her spleen has died. She will need her spleen removed in order to survive.

My name is Destiny Coleman. I am trying to raise money to help with emergency veterinary care for my sweet babygirl, Iris.
If you can’t donate, please share and/or pray! It will be so very appreciated!

When my son and I arrived home today, I noticed that she wasn’t her happy-go-lucky self. She seemed very lethargic and out of it. I noticed that her stomach was hard and distended and her gums were white. I brought her to the ER, where I was informed that she was tachycardic, had free fluid in her abdomen, was showing signs of low platelets, and her stomach was tender.

Anyone who has met her knows that she is my shadow. She is my best friend. She is goofy and energetic and absolutely loves her pats! She loves walks, zooming through the backyard, treats, snuggles, and most of all, her family She wouldn’t hurt a fly! Matter of fact, she’d probably be scared of one. She’s a big ‘ole baby, but she’s my baby! She’s very smart and protective and loves everyone she meets.

It would absolutely break our hearts to lose her and I am doing everything in my power to keep that from happening. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I hate asking for help, but this is something I can’t do on my own.
