Please Help Our Sister Hlina Fight Kidney Failure
Our sister Hlina is a 26 years old and is in a desperate fight for her life. She’s in an urgent need for a second re-transplant.
We are raising funds to cover her ongoing medical expenses, for Evaluation and Diagnosis including hospital stays, medications, diagnostic tests, and any necessary treatments to manage her condition and save her life. Additionally, we are preparing for the possibility of another Renal Transplantation which will require substantial financial support.
Your generous contributions will make a significant difference in her journey towards recovery and help alleviate the overwhelming financial burden on our family during this heartbreaking time. We are deeply grateful for any support you can provide, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing her story with others.
Thank you for being a part of her fight for life.
Hlina's Medical Background:
Ten years ago, Hlina received her first kidney transplant from our mother, which gave her a precious second chance. For a decade, she lived a relatively normal life, cherishing every moment with her family and friends. But now, her health has taken a devastating turn for the worse.
Hlina’s journey has been incredibly challenging, especially as the daughter of a stay-at-home mom and a father who passed away due to complications during the COVID-19 pandemic. She studied and worked hard to take advantage of the second chance in life she received. She dedicated herself to becoming a medical doctor to help others in need, as she has experienced the worst parts of sickness and understands what it means to make someone feel better. She recently completed her doctorate in medicine after seven consecutive years of rigorous schooling. Following her graduation, she worked tirelessly at Paulo’s Hospital, often spending 80 hours a week on her feet, helping hundreds of patients in need of urgent care. Her commitment to her work was unwavering, but tragically, her body could not keep up, and her kidney began to reject the medication.
Recently, she began experiencing severe complications, including increased leg and abdominal swelling, fatigue, and a rapid weight gain of 5 kg within just three days. Her condition has deteriorated rapidly, leading to graft tenderness, urinary tract infections, and a concerning rise in creatinine levels.
Despite undergoing multiple treatments, including antibiotics and steroids, her symptoms have persisted. She was recently admitted to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment, including a renal biopsy and potential anti-rejection therapy. Her condition has worsened significantly, with severe abdominal pain, high-grade fever, and a significant drop in hemoglobin levels. She is currently experiencing gross hematuria, reduced urine output, and repeated vomiting, which has led to further complications, including mental status changes.
