I need help.

This creature is Hansi. He's my mom's dog and companion. Over the past two years, my mom has struggled with the onset of dementia. Unfortunately, it became impossible for her to continue caring for Hansi. However, because of her dementia, my mom sincerely believed that my efforts to help care for Hansi were attempts to steal him. This means that for at least two years, Hansi went without the medical attention he desperately needed.

Last Tuesday, I finally took Hansi (for good), and he's now in ICU under the care of NCSU's veterinary team. But Hansi's veterinary needs remain urgent. He is currently facing the impact of long-term starvation and all of the negative impacts that has on a dog's body. I have already spent close to $11,000.00 on his care over the past week, and the estimated treatment costs are more than I can manage alone.
