Last night our sweet dog Fae Fae suddenly lost the ability to use her hind legs. We rushed her to the emergency vet to stay overnight, and this morning they informed us she has a herniated disc in her spine. The good news is that with surgery she has a 90% chance of a full recovery. Without it, she will remain paralyzed and eventually have to be put down.

The cost of her surgery, hospitalization, medications, and physical therapy is significant. Unfortunately, unlike with human medical costs, the veterinary clinic requires full payment upfront. We're doing everything we can to come up with the funds, but we can’t do it alone.

Fae Fae has been part of our family since she was just 8 weeks old, and for the past five years, she and my son have grown up side by side. She’s more than a pet to Avery, she’s his best friend. If you’ve ever had the chance to meet her you know she has the biggest heart in the tiniest body! All she wants to do is cuddle and look at you with full love in her eyes. It’s devastating for us to see her in pain and unable to move, and we are determined to do everything we can to help her heal and get back to being the cuddle bug she is.
