Hi, my name is Emilee, and this is my 6-year-old mare, Calie. I’ve had her for 4 wonderful years, and I started her under saddle myself. We've grown up together through 4-H, competed at the Ohio State Fair, and shared countless memories. Calie is truly my heart horse — my best friend and partner.

Recently, Calie suffered a severe colic and is now at the Ohio State Equine Center. Her initial care costs are around $5,000, and if she needs surgery, the total could rise to $10,000–$15,000.
