Donate to Save Emanuel's Life

I am trying to raise funds to help my brother Emanuel, a young 26-year-old engineer who currently suffers from autoimmune encephalitis. At first, doctors diagnosed him with psychotic depression. No one wanted to help him, clinics and hospitals did not know what the disease was because the tests kept coming back negative. Then he got worse, presenting epileptic seizures, convulsions, loss of speech; he could not walk, he began to lose his faculties, and it was when the neurologist, after performing a lumbar puncture, diagnosed him with a very rare and complex disease called autoimmune encephalitis. The treatment is long and expensive, might take up to 2 years for him to be fully recovered. In the main time the money will be used to pay for his medicines, medical exams out of the country, treatment and hospitalization. He is currently in the ICU in a coma and connected to a mechanical ventilator, intubated because he can not breathe. My family is devastated and trying to raise money to save his life. Estoy tratando de reunir fondos para ayudar a mi hermano Emanuel, un joven ingeniero de 26 años que actualmente sufre una encefalitis autoinmune. Al principio, los doctores le diagnosticaron depresión psicótica. Nadie lo quería ayudar, clínicas y hospitales no sabían qué era el mal que presentaba debido a que los exámenes salían negativos. Después fue empeorando, presentando ataques epilépticos, convulsiones, pérdida del habla; no podía caminar, comenzó a perder sus facultades, y fue cuando el neurólogo, luego de realizarle una punción lumbar, lo diagnosticó con una enfermedad muy rara y con una tasa de mortalidad del 60% llamada encefalitis autoinmune. El tratamiento es largo y costoso, su recuperación completa podría tardar hasta dos años. El dinero se utilizará principalmente para pagar sus medicamentos, exámenes médicos en el extranjero, tratamiento y hospitalización. Actualmente se encuentra en UCI, en coma y conectado a un ventilador mecanico, entubado porque no puede respirar. Mi familia está destrozada y tratando de recolectar dinero para salvarle la vida.
