Davey is the sweetest 3-footed cat in the world, and he needs your help.
Davey has been struggling to eat, has a fever that comes and goes, and is dropping weight rapidly. His loving owner has been informed by the vet that he has symptoms consistent with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis), but they will only be able to make a diagnosis following x-rays and an ultrasound with sedation. His owner, having already paid for multiple vet visits and medication, has run out of funds. Here's how you can help:
By donating to this campaign, you can help Davey's dad pay for x-rays, an ultrasound, and the treatment for FIP. Here's the cost breakdown, as given by the vet:
X-rays: $160
Ultrasound with sedation: $300
FIP 84-day treatment plan: $1,500
Specialty food, care, etc.: $50+
Davey is a much-beloved cat, not just by his owner, but by a whole community who helped to raise him. He came to his owner just a few weeks old with a foot wrapped in wire, which he and his friends diligently cared for, nursing him back to health. Eventually, he lost his foot, but not his curiosity, energy, or sweet nature. At first, he hobbled like he had a pirate-y peg leg, leading to his name: Davey (Jones). Just like his name was introduced with a sense of humor, it seemed like Davey brought a sense of comedic timing to the table that continues to charm everyone who is lucky enough to meet him.
Please consider sharing and donating to this campaign. Davey has all the love in the world to give, and he deserves all of that love back.
