Donate to Save Cindy and Amanda from Crisis

Hello everyone, my name is Amanda and this is for my mom mainly, and myself as we live together. I am 47 and she is 71. We are in desperate need of help or we are going to lose everything. Someone mentioned GoFundMe. I’m a little embarrassed, but this is really my last resort.

Story Time:

To start, I have worked since I was 13 and my mom has always worked. Her name is Cindy. For her retirement, I wanted her to come here to Florida to be with my brother and me. Mom and I live together. As soon as she moved here 3 years ago, I started getting very sick. I am pending disability and it takes forever even if you do get approved. I’m in so much pain all the time and I have something called cyclic vomiting syndrome. I have a blood disorder of some sort that my hematologist oncologist is trying to figure out.

I have a pain management doctor, a urologist, cardiologist, and my psychiatrist. I suffer from major depression and anxiety over everything that’s going on.

My poor mom had to go back to work. We were doing okay, as she worked 40 hours a week at Winn-Dixie. Well, her Winn-Dixie closed and she moved to another store and they have only been giving her 13-20 hours a week. That has hurt us terribly. I forgot to mention that I have been hardcore looking for a job that I can handle. I HAVE TO because now mom needs emergency neck surgery. From a previous neck surgery, her hardware is slipping. (So scary!)

Her voice is hoarse and now she can’t even take her pills without them gagging her, so most of the time she can’t take them at all.

So her neurosurgeon told her 6 months ago that she needed to have the surgery within 2 months. Well, here we are.

We have called everywhere we can to get help with the electric bill and all the churches and government places are backed up. Our electric will be shut off July 3rd. My checking account is minus $35. Overdraft fees. Our cable is shut off, which certainly is not a priority. I have to have full coverage insurance on my truck because silly me got a title loan a couple of years ago and I have to have that or the loan payment goes from $120 to $320. My truck insurance is 2 months behind and is getting canceled. Mom can’t pay her car insurance. My health insurance is a month behind now and if I lose that I don’t know what I’ll do, I take about 20 medications.

Once I get a job or my disability and we get caught up, the job will be soon, we will be okay.

My poor mom is struggling and it breaks my heart.

We go to food banks and we have cats to take care of as well. Oh, it’s just been the most stressful time of my life.
