Hello, my name is Hans and I am reaching out for help for my beloved dog, Chapo. Chapo is a pitbull who truly changes minds and hearts—he may look intimidating at first, but within seconds he wins over everyone he meets with his sweet nature and loving personality.

This weekend turned into a nightmare for us. Chapo suddenly started vomiting—more than seven times in less than half an hour. I rushed him to urgent care, and while he seemed to improve after being brought back home, his symptoms returned with force on Sunday. Yesterday, I had to bring him to the animal emergency hospital, where he is currently being cared for.

Today, the veterinary team is performing a CT scan to determine if Chapo needs surgery. The costs for his care and potential operation have already added up to $14,237.49, a sum that is overwhelming for a pet owner.

I know these are difficult times for everyone, and it’s a lot to ask for help, especially from strangers. Any donation, no matter how small, would make an incredible difference for Chapo and me.
