Heartbeat of Hope: Help Mend Cera's Precious Heart
We are reaching out to you today with hearts full of hope, but heavy with worry, for our precious little girl, Cera. From the moment she entered this world, she has been a beacon of light and joy. But from her very first breath, she has also been fighting a battle no child deserves to be burdened with. Cera was born with a complex congenital heart condition.
Initially diagnosed as Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), often known as "blue baby syndrome," we learned her heart didn't form correctly. A more recent echocardiogram has given us a clearer picture of her specific challenges: Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV) with Pulmonary Stenosis.
In simple terms, Cera’s heart is working against itself.
Her Struggle
For Cera, this isn't just a medical diagnosis; it is her daily reality. It’s the reason for the bluish tint on her tiny lips and fingers (cyanosis) when she cries. It’s why every breath can be a struggle and why feeding, a source of comfort for most babies, leaves her exhausted and unable to gain weight normally.
Her little heart is working so incredibly hard just to keep her going, but it’s a fight it cannot win on its own. But there is a clear path forward. There is hope.
Her Hope
The doctors have confirmed that Cera needs open-heart surgery to repair these defects. This surgery is not just a procedure; it is her lifeline. It is the only way to restructure her heart, allowing blood to flow correctly so her body can finally get the oxygen it desperately needs.
That way, we would be able to give Cera the chance to grow strong, and to live the full, happy life that every child deserves.
Her Great Need
We are standing at the edge of this hope, but we cannot cross it alone. The financial cost of the surgery and the associated medical care is overwhelming. That is why we are turning to you, our community, for help.
Estimated Cost of Surgery & Hospital Stay: $17,800
This campaign to raise the funds necessary for Cera's life-saving heart surgery will see your contribution go directly toward giving her this chance at a full life. It will help cover the surgeon’s fees, the hospital stay, and the critical post-operative care she will need to recover.
