This is our family dog, Cali. She is a 5-year-old Great Dane. She has the most outgoing personality and loves everybody. She's always been very energetic and playful.

Unfortunately, she has some unknown health issues. This has caused her to stop eating almost completely. She has lost just under 20 pounds in 2 months. She has already had blood work showing high ALT and ALP levels, which leads us to believe it’s all liver-related. She gets an ultrasound on Monday to hopefully clarify what is wrong.

Unfortunately, medical bills for animals aren’t cheap. We haven't even gotten to a treatment plan yet. So far, we are almost $1,000 in with just office visits and testing. We are doing everything to be able to afford it. If they find something major that needs immediate treatment that we can’t afford, the next step will just be trying to make Cali comfortable as we won’t be able to move forward with treatment.

My mom is an amazing, hardworking, single mother of two, and she loves our dog so much, but she can only do so much at once. Everything donated will be going straight to Cali’s medical bills to help find what's wrong and hopefully come up with a treatment plan. Anything helps, and we are beyond grateful for everything.
