This is Axel, he is 10 years old and our family's forever baby. The most loyal, intelligent and loving dog we could ever wish for, we love him dearly.

Recently, Axel suddenly started to behave strange, he would lose his balance and tilt his head and we immediately took him to the doctor. The doctor told us Axel is healthy dog and still have many good years left, but unfortunately he has a tumor in his brain (Meningioma). The tumor is located near the brain stem and is pressing on his nerves thus causing the problems with his balance. We took him to see a neurologist to get an evaluation of treatment options. The neurologist told us that the tumor can't be removed surgically, however, there is a very good chance that radiation therapy will work and get him to full recovery. Unfortunately, all these doctors visits have drained our savings and the radiation treatment is another 15000 dollars we cannot afford. We love our dog and he is part of our family, therefore we have to turn our faith to all the generous and caring people of the community and ask for help.
