I'm Angelina Brown, a 17-year-old student at Harrison Memorial high school in Mount Salem St. James, Jamaica. I'm reaching out for your help and support during a challenging time in my life.
I've been diagnosed with severe scoliosis, which affects my mobility, breathing, and overall well-being. Despite my condition, I remain hopeful and trust in God for a breakthrough.
My family and I have been trying to secure the necessary funds for my surgery, which has been scheduled multiple times at the Kingston Public Hospital. However, we've faced significant financial constraints, particularly in affording the implant screws and spinal cord support, which cost approximately 1.6 million Jamaican dollars.
The surgery itself will be performed free of charge by the Kingston Public Hospital, but we need to cover additional expenses, including medical care, transportation, and accommodation for my father or mother to stay with me in Kingston during my recovery.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 USD to cover these expenses. Your contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to achieving this goal and giving me a chance at a normal life.
I'm passionate about art and hope to one day become an architect. Your support will enable me to focus on my education and pursue my dreams without the burden of my condition.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I appreciate your kindness, generosity, and prayers during this difficult time.
