My name is Ajay Kumar Katkuri, resident of Fremont, CA. My father (age 60+) recently suffered a severe brain hemorrhage on the right side of his brain. The bleeding is large (over 5 cm), and it has extended into the brain’s ventricles, causing dangerous pressure and swelling. Doctors have confirmed a midline brain shift, which means urgent treatment is needed to prevent life-threatening complications or permanent disability.

Though he is conscious and recognizes us — which gives us hope — the condition is very serious and requires ICU care, potential surgery, and long-term rehabilitation.
