Recently, my fiancé Justin and his beloved dog, Ace Boog, were at the park when a dog I was temporarily caring for got loose and violently attacked Ace. Justin jumped in without hesitation to save him, and several bystanders helped pull the dog off. It was a terrifying and heartbreaking moment.
In the struggle, Justin suffered serious injuries—nerve damage in his right pinky that will take at least three months to heal, and a broken left middle finger that now has a surgical pin. While his insurance will cover most of the costs, it doesn’t cover everything, and recovery will be long and painful.
Ace Boog initially seemed okay, but days later, a severe infection spread to his chest and is now threatening his vital organs—including his esophagus. He urgently needs life-saving surgery that’s estimated to cost around $12,000. Without it, we may be forced to say goodbye to our sweet boy.
This has been an incredibly emotional and overwhelming time for our family. We’re asking for any help you can give—whether it’s a donation, a share, or just keeping us in your thoughts. Anything helps as we fight to give both of these guys the recovery they deserve.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
