Donate to Save a Life: Liver Transplant Needed

Hello all of my good people! I am not known to ask for help or donations, however I am at the point that if I don't ask, I will die, so here we go. I have been diagnosed with a hereditary liver disease. My liver is failing and my body is beginning to "shut down".

I have been fighting with ascites (the build up of my liver leaking fluid into my abdomen). Medication helps, but it can't keep up with the amount that is leaking. The procedure to remove that fluid is called paracentesis. The cost of this (including airfare and budget hotels) is about $1500 every 2 weeks. This is vital to remove the toxins from my body. However, the costs add up and I've expended a lot of my savings/retirement funds for simply staying alive.

I'm waiting for a surgery date to perform a liver "patch".....called TIPS. This surgery consists of removing a piece of my Juggler vein from my neck and bridging the 2 veins in my liver. That should buy me about 1 year's of time. That cost is $40,000. I have enough to cover that from my retirement/savings. What I really need help with is the cost of a liver transplant. The cost of that surgery is $300,000+, that is if I supply my own organ donor. These are Panama prices....the same transplant surgery in the USA is around $800k! So, Panama has my vote for the location of surgery! (I already have an amazing Liver specialist lined up to perform the surgery).

I know that this is a long-shot, and I don't expect for this all to come through, but you just never know. I have many friends who are all supportive, however this amount of $ is a LOT. So I must reach out to extended friends and strangers who I have not met yet.

Any donations, large or small would be greatly appreciated! I'm a very lucky and grateful man to have my friends and support who have prepared frozen meals for me, had social gatherings, etc...--I love them all. But unfortunately, I must reach out to everyone else in order to pay for the surgery.

Thank you all in advance! I am not ready to die, and with the help of friends/family, I may be able to escape the Angel of Death this time! I'm a proud grandfather, and i would love nothing more than to watch my family to grow up to become the amazing people that they are destined to be.
