Hey there, I never thought I’d be doing this…sharing our story and asking for help. But here we are.

My name is Sarah and I am 28 years old. I have worked as an LPN for the past 6 1/2 years specializing in women's health, pregnancy, labor and delivery as well as pediatrics. I am very passionate about my job and the care I provide to my patients on a day-to-day basis. I am also a full-time student working towards furthering my nursing career as a registered nurse.

My husband Phil is 29 years old and currently works as an EMT providing emergency care in central PA.

Many of you who know me know that my husband and I have been dealing with infertility for the last 2 1/2 almost 3 years. We have undergone many tests and have been unsuccessful in conceiving a viable pregnancy. We have come to a point in our fertility journey that suggests IVF is our next step and our best chance at becoming pregnant.

We have done over a dozen IUIs and I have undergone procedures and surgeries in hopes to find something that could be "fixed" solving the mystery of unexplained secondary infertility.

Secondary infertility is the inability to get pregnant after having previously had successful pregnancies without medical intervention. I have two children from my previous marriage that are currently 9 and 6 years old. Phil is an amazing stepfather or as we like to call him a bonus dad. He has loved my children like they were his own from the day he met them and I honestly couldn't ask for a better man to be an additional male role model for my young boys.

We are reaching out in hopes of raising enough money to put a down payment on a fertility treatment at CNY fertility in Syracuse, NY. One cycle of IVF can cost up to $10,000 and our insurance just won't cover it.

If you are able to donate towards the cost of IVF, it would mean the world to us. We wouldn't be asking if we haven't exhausted all of our options otherwise. I feel guilty for asking for help but I am at a loss of what else to do. I received a quote for over $2,500 just for medications alone that must be purchased prior to treatment starting.
