Help Sara Rebuild After Stroke – Support Her Recovery Journey

On August 17th, 2025, my best friend of 10+ years, Sara White, suffered a life-altering stroke that left her without full function on her entire left side. Overnight, her world changed — from being fiercely independent and selfless to suddenly needing help for the most basic tasks.

Unfortunately, inpatient rehabilitation is not covered by her insurance, even though it would greatly be beneficial to her recovery. She’s now attending outpatient rehab, which is not only costly but also physically and emotionally taxing — all while receiving reduced pay from being on leave from work.

To make things even more difficult, Sara had to move from a second-floor apartment to a ground-level unit due to her limited mobility — with no help, no support, and no extra funds. Yet through all this, she remains strong, never complains, and still thinks of others before herself.

If you know Sara, you know she’s the type of person who would give her last dollar to help someone else. She’s a devoted mother of two, a loyal friend, and someone who has never asked for help — until now.

I’m creating this fundraiser because now it’s our turn to show up for her. Every donation, no matter how small, will help cover:

• General living expenses while she is unable to return to work
