Donate to Sara Schmidt's Care and Family Time

We are raising money to help support the Schmidt family during Sara's continued cancer journey.

Sara has been battling pancreatic cancer since January of 2023. Under the guidance of Mayo Clinic, she went through one cycle of chemo and then three weeks of radiation. Sara has been able to enjoy many wonderful family experiences over the past almost two years, and her family and friends are grateful for those times.

Their family has also had its share of loss-first losing Sara's dad in 2016, then her Mom in 2021, and her brother in 2024. They were also among many others who were impacted by the flood that devastated the community in June of 2024.

Although it was hopeful that Sara would be a great candidate for a trial through Mayo, it has been determined that the best option for her is to enjoy her time with those she loves as she begins her care through Hospice. This page will hopefully help lift financial burdens as she continues to decrease her time at work, allow Dave to take time off work to spend time with and care for her, cover medical bills, and provide family experiences with their boys through the holidays. The Schmidt family is forever grateful and overwhelmed by the outpouring of support they have received from the community over the past two years.
