My name is Clifton H. Rodriquez. I am a local certified public accountant (CPA) from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I am hereby initiating this GoFundMe drive to aid the people of Jamaica. They just went through a terrible act of nature (Hurricane Melissa).

My wife and I have family, and my wife owns property in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica. The area where her parents live and she has property is called "Treasure Beach." I am taking the initiative to raise these funds because I am half Jamaican, and the Jamaican people are my people. The devastation is so bad that the Jamaican Prime Minister, the Right Honorable Dr. Andrew Holness, is personally touring the area to see the damage for himself. We will post video and photos later.

We are looking to raise an initial $100,000.00 in relief funds for families who lost roofs to their homes. The monies will be given in the form of gift cards that they can use to buy supplies from the local hardware stores. We would appreciate any small donations. The name of this initiative will be "The Saint Elizabeth Jamaica Relief Fund."
