Our church confirmation class has been tasked with raising awareness and funds to support a local organization or ministry striving to eliminate food insecurity. We chose Safe Harbor of Chester County. Safe Harbor provides emergency housing, food, and access to support services in a structured environment for unhoused single men and women in Chester County. They provide a place of shelter for 40 people a day, provide meals, clothing, and counseling to help people get back on their feet.

A common theme in the Bible is helping "the least of these" and this organization's main mission is to do just that. Safe Harbor is a representation of Matthew 25, hospitality, and compassion.

Our church (Westminster Presbyterian Church) has committed to matching up to $500 of whatever funds we raise. Please help reach our goal!
