Hello, my name is Mary Davis Smith, and I am the aunt of Sadie Lowe (daughter of Amy Davis Kendall). I’m reaching out on behalf of our family to ask for support during an incredibly difficult time for Sadie as she prepares to undergo her second brain surgery.

Sadie is now diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, a serious condition in which the brain slips downward into the brain stem. Her first brain surgery took place in 2023 and while she bravely pushed through recovery, her health challenges have continued.

Since then, Sadie has also been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), which causes her to experience recurring non-epileptic seizures. On top of that, she struggles daily with severe cranial pressure, debilitating headaches, dizziness, numbness, and loss of feeling. These symptoms have dramatically impacted her quality of life and her ability to work. She has gone from full-time employment to part-time, and because of this status change, she is no longer eligible for short-term disability during her upcoming surgery and recovery.

Sadie is scheduled for her second brain surgery this month, and her doctors anticipate a recovery period of approximately three months. During this time, she will have no income, and we are hoping to help her keep up with her basic bills so she can focus entirely on healing.

We are seeking to raise $9,000 to cover her living expenses for the three months she is unable to work. Every donation—no matter the amount—will directly help Sadie maintain stability while she recovers from this life-altering procedure.
