Hi friends! It’s time to pay the second quarter tuition for Sadat’s 2025 school year. As some of you know, Sadat was involved in an accident where a car drove through the market he was at. Thankfully, he only suffered minor cuts and bruises, but he did have to go to the hospital and receive treatment, and he did miss a few days of school. Charles reports that Sadat has improved and continues to put in the extra work to get caught up with his peers at school.

I cannot express how grateful I am to you all, Sadat’s big brothers and sisters, for helping to support his education and healing, mentally and physically. When we met Sadat about 3 years ago, he was suffering from debilitating headaches from an open wound on his head that exposed his skull. Sadat suffered great physical abuse and torture from his father’s wife, or his stepmother. The one who was supposed to take care of him failed him so egregiously. He was never able to lead a normal life or attend school. Instead, he laid on a mat in his one-room, dirt-floor home so he could be in the dark to avoid exacerbating his headaches. Despite this, he remained a cheerful, obedient, and curious child. He didn’t let the abuse bring him down, and he didn’t let the name-calling break his spirit. With your help, we raised money to have surgery on his head and close the wound, thus alleviating his headaches and allowing him the physical health to pursue an education. We hope sponsoring Sadat’s education will allow him to grow and prosper, and gain the skills to have a career one day, and help support his sisters and mother.
