Hi, my name is Angelica Hernández. Yesterday, August 12th, 2024, my family and I received heartbreaking news. My dad, Sabino Hernández, was diagnosed with Metastatic brain cancer which means it originated from his lung cancer that we weren’t aware he had. This news took us all by surprise because my dad is a gym rat. My dad is only 55 years old, he takes care of himself and eats healthy. In my 16 years, I have never seen him smoke or drink. He lives a really healthy lifestyle.

He has limited health insurance and most, if not all, expenses will be coming out of pocket. The uncertainty of this situation has already taken a huge toll on my mom and I would like to help alleviate the financial burden. I work a part-time job and I am still in high school. At the moment we feel helpless and want to reach out to our community for help. We will update this page as we learn more about his prognosis in the coming weeks. He has his first doctor's appointment this Thursday. All we can do right now is pray. Prayers, shares, reposts. Anything helps.
