From the moment ryker was born he had medical issues. regularly he had skin reactions that would range from as small as tiny bumps to full on chemical burns and angry cysts. we never got any real answers until we went to Riley in October of 2025.

We were admitted October 4th- October 6th. he had a swollen lymph node and a large cyst right next to it. he had a procedure and had the cyst drained. we thought that was the end of the problems.

November 25th - December 2nd we were admitted again. we had gone to Parkview Hospital because he was having high unexplained fevers (upwards of 104). they did every test in the book and found he had lesions on his liver and spleen. we were transferred to Riley after a few days and they did their own tests and did genetic testing and that is when we got the diagnosis of CGD. he had the largest lesion drained and was put on antibiotics.

a few weeks later he had a follow up appointment on December 18th. He ended up Spiking a 105 fever after getting his CT and they admitted him from December 18th- December 24th. they had found that the lesions had grown even larger and the amount of lesions doubled. they put him on a higher dose of antibiotic and gave us the recommendation to do a stem cell transplant.

this procedure is going to be a very long process. he will need 6-8 weeks inpatient, and then 100 days outpatient but still need to be in Indy (which is 2 hours from home). he will also need to be on chemo to break down his immune system before they do the transplant, along with getting a NG tube or G tube for nutrition. we have a long way to go and have a lot of details that need to be figured out since i will have to be alone with ryker most days so Josh can still work and provide for us. any donations are HIGHLY appreciated and will go towards food, transportation, and housing for when we are outpatient. thank you❤️
