My name is Rudy Minton and I am behind on rent and bills, and could put some more food in the fridge. I start my new job next week (hosting, to-go's, and eventually serving) at Mother Bear's Pizza here in Columbus, Indiana. I know most of the staff there, and I am feeling optimistic about this opportunity.
I quit my job at the Garage Pub & Grill last July, after putting up with an employee who wouldn't stop bullying me, after numerous times of going through the proper channels and "gray rocking" him all for naught. After leaving, I applied for unemployment (I got approved before years ago but this time no soap!) and kept myself busy with odd jobs, which were almost plentiful for a while. The current job I'm at, a convenience store, is only giving me 20 hours a week.
I am 47 years old and I am dealing with an existential crisis of sorts. I'm muddling right now until I start next week. I hole up in the apartment when not at work. I'm kind of a hermit against my own will. Peace of mind is what I need right now. Thanks for your time.
