Ronnie, aka Papi Chulo, was found on the side of the road in Playa del Rey in rough shape and not neutered. It was obvious he needed medical attention as he was very, very skinny and throwing up. We immediately took him to a vet in Mar Vista. He came back positive with low traces of parvo, a hurt leg, some dirty teeth, and dehydration. Since he had low traces, the vet felt confident he would recover. We treated him for parvo and have daily vet appointments over the next 5 days to give him fluids, an anti-nausea shot, antibiotics, etc. Once we nurse him back to health, he is going to a new foster home.
I'm trying to raise money to set him up for success as he goes on to his next home and help cover some of his vet bills over the past couple of days (they are in the thousands). He will need his leg cared for (we're not sure how much that will cost just yet), he needs neutered (which I'm trying to partner with rescues on), and he will need food, supplies, etc! Every little bit really helps. Thank you all for the support so far!!!
