Help Rommey Heal: Fighting Leukemia and on a the verge of a cure.  A donor has been found!

Hi, my name is Rommey — and I never imagined I’d be here, writing this.

For the past few years, my world has been turned upside down in ways I never thought possible. I lost my precious only child to fentanyl poisoning — a heartbreak I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Not long after, the pandemic stole the business we had built from the ground up, leaving us with shattered dreams and an uncertain future.

Now, I’m facing the fight of my life, again.

In 2020, just months after losing my child, I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), the first time. I underwent chemotherapy and was given the all-clear for 4 years. Just last year, it returned. The only cure at this point is a bone marrow transplant. After months of testing, tears, and prayers, I received one piece of good news: a bone marrow donor match has been found.

The transplant will take place at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida — a place of hope and healing — but the road ahead is still long and costly.

Doctors have told me I’ll need to stay near the clinic for at least four months during and after the transplant for close monitoring and recovery. During this time, I won’t be able to work. I’ll need help covering medical expenses not fully paid by insurance, travel, housing, food, and keeping my home and car — the last pieces of stability I have left.

I’m humbly asking for your support.
No amount is too small. Every dollar helps me get closer to healing.

Your donation will go toward:
• Temporary housing near Mayo Clinic
• Food, travel, and basic living expenses during recovery
• Medical costs not covered by insurance
• Preserving my home and car so I can return to stability once I’m well

If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others. And if you believe in the power of prayer, I welcome those too — deeply.

This journey has tested every part of me, but I refuse to give up.
With your help, I can make it through this next chapter.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

With gratitude and hope,
Rommey
