River and Tree of Life Ministries Inc. (DBA River and Tree Of Life Foundation), is a Non-Profit Corporation registered in the United States under 501(C)(3) with (IRS Tax deductible status).

RATOLF focuses on fundraising for homeless people in the United States and for the Save Abandoned and Molested Children in Africa campaign. We plan to roll out in 6 nations: United States, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Gabon, and Antigua & Barbuda.

River and Tree of Life Foundation, Inc.,(RATOLF) launched an emergency clarion rescue call to alert the world on the neglect of the molested and abandoned children in Africa. This is much more alarming in the ghetto/rural based areas of the country.

Initially, the Founder Remmy-Green Adekunle Peter and Co-Founder Mwaka Peter have been the sole sponsors of most of RATOLF’s community engagement activities for the past fourteen years (14yrs). Through RATOLF we have been paying the school fees of several children in Nigeria, helping, and feeding the homeless in South Africa and Nigeria.

Our focus in 2025-2026 is on Nigerian abandoned and molested children. We will roll out in other African countries in the future.

Problem Statement

Africa faces a significant challenge with child abandonment and abuse due to factors such as poverty, conflict, lack of education, and inadequate child protection systems. These vulnerable children often face trauma, exploitation, and limited access to education and healthcare, perpetuating cycles of poverty and despair.

However, the need for support has grown beyond our means, therefore, we are calling for your support and donations to help these children.

Project Strategy

RATOLF will carry out the following strategies in the implementation of our project:

To provide comprehensive educational resources to 500 underprivileged children in Nigeria within the next 3 years, enhancing their academic performance, cognitive skills, and socio-economic prospects.

1. Educational Resource Provision: Provide educational materials, including textbooks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other essential learning tools to 500 children.

2. Access to Digital Learning: Establish partnerships with educational technology providers to offer digital learning platforms, e-books, and online resources to 500 children.

3. Mentorship and Guidance: Pair 500 children with trained mentors, providing guidance, support, and encouragement to help them achieve their academic goals.

4. Capacity Building: Implement targeted training programs for teachers and parents to maximize the impact of the educational resources provided.

5. Monitoring and Evaluation: Establish a robust monitoring and evaluation system to track the progress of 500 children, identifying areas of improvement and adjusting the program accordingly.

1. School Fees: $250 per annum per child

2. Educational Materials: $100 per annum per child

3. School Uniforms and Bags: $30 per annum per child

4. Vocational Training: $70 per annum per child

The Challenge

There are many abandoned and neglected children in Africa. Most of the children are from poor homes and disadvantaged communities and have either lost their parents or were living with guardians who maltreated them and for some, they have been forced to the streets.

Many of these girls, boys, and teenagers have been exposed to sexual abuse and are victims of rape and different kinds of abuse. There are incidents of fathers raping their daughter(s), and uncles raping girls put under their care.

These types of abuse and neglect have left lasting scars on these abandoned children. Some of these scars might be physical, but emotional scarring might have long-lasting effects throughout life, damaging a child’s sense of self, future relationships, and ability to function at home, work, and school. Some of these scars still affect them even when they get married. We believe that through prayers, the word of God, and Biblical counseling, the scars in the heart of abused and neglected children be cured or dealt with.
