Darling boy Rigby came to us last summer after he had been found outside alone and begging for food. Sadly, this big hunk of burning love tested positive for FELV, but was quickly adopted nonetheless. Rigby seemed to be thriving in his home up until earlier this year when his adopter took him to our vet as he was lethargic and not eating. The vet immediately contacted us because his owner was leaning toward euthanasia due to cost concerns. We immediately stepped in and said let's try to save him if we can and offered to pay for his medical care. Even with that, his owner decided she wanted to surrender him back to us because "she couldn't handle it."
Anyway, there are angels among us and Rigby quickly found a loving, responsible, and dedicated foster to help him recover and live his best life for however long that may be. Our amazing vet has got him, for now, back on track and he is a happy, loving, and gentle cat who loves to play and eat. This was, as they always are, an unexpected expense and for as long as his treatment is working, we will continue to provide support. But diagnostics and lab work add up quickly, so we ask for even the smallest donation to help us continue to give Rigby the quality care he deserves. Please share and donate! Thank you!!!!
