Rick got hit by a drunk driver on June 30th.

Around 8:00 PM, he was just driving home after picking up his roommate from work when he was hit. He has a compound fracture in his arm and some head trauma. He’s in the hospital now, and we’re not sure yet how long recovery will take.

Rick is one of the most kind-hearted, selfless people I’ve ever met. He takes care of everyone around him. His wife had a stroke two years ago and is wheelchair-bound — Rick takes care of her full-time. He also takes care of his granddaughter, who’s almost completely handicapped and is constantly going through surgeries and medical treatments.

This accident also totaled their only vehicle, and with everything else going on, it’s just too much to handle alone.
