My father, Rick Ward, has been an exemplary member of the public safety community, dedicating his life to serving as a paramedic. He is a passionate individual who finds fulfillment in mentoring others and providing exceptional patient care. Regrettably, he has now become the patient, requiring a kidney transplant to sustain his life.
We are hopeful that his years of dedicated service will be rewarded in this challenging time. I am humbly requesting donations to cover his medical expenses and lost wages during his recovery period until the transplant. Every contribution, no matter the size, would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, I kindly encourage you to consider becoming a living donor. While waiting for a deceased donor can take up to 5 years, surgery for a living donor can be performed much sooner. Any blood type can be a valuable asset to my father. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you once again for your generosity and support.
