Help My Sister-in-Law Rebuild After Hurricane Milton

Hello everyone, my name is Priscilla, and I’m reaching out from Deerfield Beach, Florida, to ask for your support for my sister-in-law, Rosaura.

On October 10, Hurricane Milton swept through Florida, leaving a trail of devastation. Rosaura, who lives in Trinity, Florida—about 35 minutes from Tampa—was hit hard. Just days before the hurricane, she became unemployed, and then her home and car were flooded. Without flood insurance (since her home isn’t in a designated flood zone), her homeowner’s insurance won’t cover the damage. She had just purchased her first home a 15 months ago.

The rising waters, mixed with pond and river runoff, even brought sewage into her home, causing severe damage. Rosaura now faces the daunting task of tearing out flooring and walls to prevent mold and further issues, along with total loss in her car and dealing with immediate financial needs as she seeks new employment.

Rosaura has always been there for others, volunteering at her church and helping those in need. Now, she finds herself in a position she never expected, needing help herself.
